Developing the face of a triathlon coaching and massage therapy startup.
A New Zealand based triathlon coaching and sports massage therapy start-up, K3, needed help to become identifiable and memorable. In response, a brand identity and system was developed to give K3 a recognisable face. The logotype was created to capture a swift movement through the joining of the K and 3, accompanied by a three spoke symbol embodying the three pillars of a triathlon. The shape of the symbol was inspired by the three sports - a head and two legs for running, a head and two arms for swimming, a head and two wheels for cycling. This mark became a fundamental part of developing the visual language and creating consistency across various touchpoints. The massage therapy side of the business was reflected through the use of the clinical teal colour. The result was a strong, memorable and consistent identity that embraces the harmony between athletics and massage therapy, with the potential to become a globally recognised brand within the sports sector.
