Making a wine merchant relevant again

Offering some of the finest wines and supplying a list of prestigious clients, Decorum is a well established British vintner with serious expertise and experience in the industry. However, when it came to their brand identity and image, they needed help, and approached us to bring Decorum to the current age. The wine merchant prides itself on offering a small but carefully selected range of wines with a simple mission - to share with the world the wines they love, sourced directly from the artisanal growers they respect. As we explored Decorum, it became clear that capturing a sense of heritage and expertise with a modern face was important in order to stay relevant to existing customers and entice new customers. 

Taking inspiration from an image of stacked wine casks, this identity embodies heritage but in a modern way. The creation of this simplified geometric brand mark nods to the heritage, knowledge and expertise of Decorum. The logotype remains sans serif (as the original ), but has been given a more pleasing geometric form and a heavier weight to build a stronger presence. The colours have been carefully considered to tie in with the wine industry whilst still embracing a high-end aura with a hint of excitement through the use of contrast. The result is a premium brand identity that captures the heritage and an artisanal warmth that is true to Decorums mission.
